Trying to be Happy

 
I just want to be happy and never sad
I’m trying to ignore what makes me mad!

Raging with temper helps me not
Turning the other cheek no matter what!

I‘m really quite a peaceful soul
Happier when I’m in my womanly role

Demands on me I can handle with ease
I’ve learnt over the years it’s easier to please

Maybe one day I’ll put myself first
Keeping my temper never to burst

Allowing my own needs free reign
Happiness in my life to gain
