I Write

 
I write my thoughts giving my fingers free rein
I write when I’m happy and also in pain

I write for myself and for others to
Little lessons on life, even learning a few

I write to pass on my wisdom to those who listen
Learning myself about life’s hard lesson

I write to pass on my worried thoughts
How sometimes for us life can be fraught

I write for myself most of all
It’s a lesson I’ve learnt to help break my ‘fall’

I write to learn who is the real me
I’m a woman who can bare her soul for others to see

I write for comfort not just for effect
I want to make my mark and gain some respect

I write for those I love
If still with me or in heaven above

I write for a reason hard to explain
I write ‘cos I have to without payment or gain
