Best Say Nothing

When words are spoken in anger the harm is done
Never to be recalled not even one

Words spill out like a river in full flow
Leaving hurt behind more than you could know

Temper rife, emotions riding high
Truth spoken with ne’er a lie

Temptation within and driven to hurt
Voices raised, old grievances to blurt

Learn the hard way and try to hold back
Say nothing resisting the urge to attack

Be the person you are who is kind and true
Say nothing, cruel words that you’ll rue!
