The Change

When young and full of flair
In peak condition and shiny hair
Skin and nails easy to care
Breasts pert what a pair!

Time takes it toll sad to say
Shiny hair? The cost you have to pay
Skin dry, nails splitting, the price of living today
Getting old, who’d have thought we’d see the day

The change? Who came up with that?
Your body prone to fat
Aches and pains after you’ve sat
Knowing that’s the stage you’re at

Accept what happens to your body and mind
And maybe the years will be kind
The change is in store for all of us
No point in kicking up a fuss!
