Men

I’d hate to be a man
Pretending I always can
No matter what the cost
Never admitting that they’re lost

Always having to be right
Even when the truth is in your sight
Often selfish and demanding your way
Not happy till getting your say

Now, not all men are bad
If I thought that, life would be so sad
Painting them all with the one brush
What kind of decision is that to make in a rush

I know men that are happy and able
Bringing a joy to the family table
Loving their life and living it well
More than happy their tale to tell

Now if you find a man like that
Never malign him no matter what
Treasure him and spoil him for all he’s worth
They are few and far between but the salt of the earth
